If you’re hosting a Fourth of July party, it’s time to start to think about decorating. First, consider the the basics: reds, whites and blues and American flags are staples of the holiday celebration.
Better Homes and Gardens recommends draping porch railings or ceilings with flags, carefully hanging them to border the party scene. Flags are available in all different sizes. If you opt for the smaller varieties, you can add patriotic splashes to your party space by planting them in vases, pots and gardens.
You can also take the theme of stars and hang these colored symbols along walls and ceilings. A subtle, elegant way to outline these decorations is with white wire lights, which will cast the party in a gentle glow accented by the more noticeable reds and blues.
Another way to fully capture the mood is with the addition of our red and blue LED lights, which are available on white wire.
We suggest stringing a set of these lights along the railing of a porch or deck to maximize the effect. You can also run them through a garden, behind furniture or along walkways to lead guests straight to the celebrations.

Many Americans love supporting a domestic product that’s cheaper and more effective than the competition. Add to that an unrelenting dedication to the environment, and you have an unbeatable product: Charlie’s Laundry Soap.
Available in liquid or powder form, Charlie’s Soap is made of coconut-based, biodegradable ingredients. It’s especially useful to those who are working in an active field such as construction, food service, or sanitary industries.
Chemical-based detergents often dissolve part of the fabric and fade the color of a garment, but Charlie’s Soap simply breaks down the smell and stain, leaving a light, pleasant scent behind. It will often even refresh clothes, making them softer and fluffier.
Environmentally conscious couples with young children who are still in diapers may also find that Charlie’s Soap can work out the odors of cloth diapers that are usually left lingering by competitors.
Only small amounts of Charlie’s Soap are necessary for it to be effective, so you will also notice a dramatic difference in your savings.
It is often very difficult to not sacrifice results when working to save money and energy but, in the case of Charlie’s Soap, you will find that this isn’t the case at all – it’s cheaper, more effective, and good for the environment.

Now that the weather is warm and summer is in full swing, people are starting home projects. Whether you’re hammering, sawing or disassembling something at a work bench, the odds are good that you’ll be standing in place on a pretty unforgiving surface, like the floor of a basement or garage.
This also goes for home refurbishing projects like repainting or wallpapering. The repetitive motion on your arms can strain your back and ankles, especially if you’re standing on hardwood floors or thin carpets. The back and forth movement associated with these activities can cause severe aches throughout your body, but your feet are the main culprit.
A Gel Pro Chef mat can absorb the shock of all of these surfaces, and it’s ideal for any area where you’ll be standing in one place for a long period of time. By gently shaping to the contours of your feet, this mat will protect you from most of the back and foot-related pains that can come from long days of home improvement.
The humid or wet areas of garages and basements might not seem like a good place for a mat, but the Gel Pro is protected from mold and mildew with an anti-microbial spray. It’s durable and resistant to wear and tear. The mats come in two sizes, 20 inches by 72 inches and 20 by 36 inches, and are available in a variety of colors.

Laundry machines are rarely located in convenient places. They could be in the hallway between the kitchen and the garage or a musty corner of the basement. It’s often difficult to find room for clothes that are coming out the dryer, and aren’t quite dry enough to fold, or won’t fit in a basket.
After retrieving clothes from the drier, it may also be difficult to fit all of your garments into a small closet space, especially if they are still a little wet.
The Brabantia door drying rack offers up to 4.5 meters (14.8 feet!) in extra drying lines. It’s specifically designed to add storage capacity to cramped areas.
You can use the rack for any area of the house that needs more room – it can hang from doors of just about any size and can adjust in size by folding, if you don’t need to use all of the rungs.
We especially recommend this Brabantia product for the doors of beach or lake houses, bathrooms and laundry rooms. It’s ideal for times when you need to hang a handful of wet towels or sheets to dry, but can’t seem to find the room without getting something else wet in the process.
Every Brabantia door drying rack is made from highly durable stainless steel and comes with a 10 year guarantee.

Lately, there seems to be a trend in growing your own vegetables, from carrots to tomatoes, according to NBC. We’ve even seen Michelle Obama’s organic garden getting plenty of coverage in the news.
Growing your own vegetables can be a bit of work, but the reward is often well worth the effort. Homegrown food is natural, particularly because there are no pesticides or preservatives.
The downside to organic gardening is that you can attract all sorts of local animals. Rabbits, moles and deer are usually the chief culprits in garden damages and it’s hard to keep them away without applying chemical or noxious sprays.
PREDAscent is a fairly new animal repellent on the market and it’s ideal for protecting organic gardens. It contains a synthetic coyote formula that is scentless for humans and non-toxic to all living things. To use it, simply place the capsules around the perimeter of your garden and they will release odors that will drive wildlife away.
This animal repellent comes in specific packages – there are capsules for moles and voles, groundhogs and geese, deer and insects. Don’t let animals dine on your tab, use PREDAscent to protect your organic garden.

If you’ve recently bought a Brabantia trash bin, the odds are good that you’re going to want bin liners for it. Brabantia bin liners are specifically made for the company’s waste bins, so they fit snugly and securely into the trash bin.
Each set of liners is color coded for a particular bin, so be sure to select the liners accordingly. Once you have the appropriate liner, you’ll notice that it blends perfectly with the bin so there’s no unappealing, wadded plastic poking out from the lid.
The best way to dispose of trash from a Brabantia bin is to extract the inner shell of the can as you remove the bin liner. The plastic shell adds extra support to the bag when you’re taking out the garbage. This prevents any messy mishaps when you’re on the way to the garage or the sidewalk with a particularly heavy bag.
These bin liners are made of extra strong plastic material and each one comes with sealing tape that will prevent debris and odors from leaking out of the bag once it is properly shut.
Brabantia bin liners are cheap and effective. We especially advise those with Brabantia trash bins to invest in these custom-sized products.

Many individuals have nice clothes that become wrinkled and need to be ironed, so just about everyone is familiar with the pains of the ironing board.
The majority of boards are thin and narrow, which means you have to constantly move around sharp edges to get at different parts of your garments while the iron radiates heat and steam into your face. Then, when you need to fold it again, it’s almost always a constant battle with a cumbersome mechanism that never seems to work.
If this sounds familiar, it’s time to get an ironing board made by Brabantia. These ironing boards are specifically designed to stay in place as you iron. The broad, flat surface prevents clothes from slipping off and also enforces stability. There’s also a child lock to keep the legs in place and another sturdy lock that keeps the ironing board folded when you put it away.
Brabantia ironing boards are adjustable to four different heights, from 2.3 feet to 3.1 feet.
Some Brabantia models have metal rests attached underneath the boards for hot irons, which make ironing a less sweaty and more pleasant activity.

Gardens are a lot of work. Besides the planting, there’s the weeding, the watering and the mulching. It takes hours to make flowers and shrubs look just right, but at the end of the day, the beauty of the yard is worth it.
Unfortunately, at the end of the day it’s hard to see the garden at all. That’s where a simple brown cord light set can make a huge difference.
We recommend a careful, threading technique so the cord runs beneath the foliage of your plants, making the wire barely visible. This will also allow the light to shine on the underside of the flowers, which will result in a soft, beautiful amber color.
The advantage to brown wire lights is that the wire blends in with dirt, soil, bark and mulch very easily. If you’ve recently mulched, you may find it effective to run the wire underneath the material to completely hide it from view.
You’ve spent months working on the garden, so why shouldn’t you be able to enjoy it on the porch or from the window at night? Just plug the lights into an easy-to-reach outlet and, when you’re done enjoying the fruits of your labors, simply unplug them.
