PredaSCENT Insect Repellent Receives Rave Reviews

Friday, October 29th, 2010

I have the priveledge of knowing the owner of PredaSCENT, Phil Boxwell , personally.  We are trying to sell hard to find items and Phil is trying to gain distribution for his animal masking agents.  On top of that, we are both located in Pittsburgh, PA.  After partnering up, I have had the priveledge of seeing Phil’s vision for his company evolve.

PredaSCENT is a small animal masking agent company in the animal repellent business.  That could be changing soon.  It’s Natural Animal Masking Agents are used by many golf course management and property management facilities across the US and it is gaining mass retailer attention from select Target and Home Depot stores.

After the company got its feet wet in the business of keeping animals away from desirable vegetation, PredaSCENT’s founder, Phil, was determined to further expand his product line.  Phil knew the insect repellent market was huge as well, so he decided to try to make a better insect repellent than what was currently on the market.  After lots of product testing, he launch PredaSCENT’s Natural Insect Repelling Agent in the summer of 2010.  It was met with rave reviews from many of the early adopters.

Check out the following list of testimonials Phil has provided us to display on our website for potential customers!

“In July 2009, I spent 6 days attending our Scout Camp in North Carolina with our troop.  Flying, stinging bugs are routine in most scouting activities.  We hung several little bags of the Insect Away under our canopy tent on the first afternoon.  It was noticed by everyone who visited our campsite that no bugs were around.  ALL WEEK!  What a treat!  I also hung 1 bag in my tent which kept it bug free for the entire week as well.  We will be using your product again this summer as well as on all camping trips!  Thank you!”

“In the past, our employees were often plagued by swarming gnats, mosquitoes, flies and many other flying insects.  This unbearable nuisance made accomplishing tasks, under tight time constraints, even more stressful.  Our employees now wear the PredaScent Insect repellent bags.  The product works extremely well in driving away irritating insects therefore raising staff morale and productivity.  We also have found the PredaScent Insect repellent to be highly effective in our food service areas as well as employee and customer areas.  I highly recommend the PredaScent Insect product for anyone with an insect nuisance problem!

“Flying insects, mosquitoes, gnats, flies, etc. have always been a problem for our workers outside in our nursery.  We have tried many different topical bug repellents with little success.  This year, we purchased PredaScent insect pouches and have had great results with virtually no bugs that bothered our workers.  We would recommend PredaScent Insect pouches to anyone who is involved in outside activities.”

You’ll want to give thanks after hanging up white wire lights

Friday, October 29th, 2010

http://www.hardtofinditems.com/white-wire-lights/?catexp=171Kristen Day of The Daily Reflector recently served up helpful tips for hosting Thanksgiving festivities.

Aside from the preparations for a turkey and side dishes, she said there are other steps one must take to ensure a festive gathering. For those serving alcoholic beverages, she said that there are recipes that fit the fall theme, including a pumpkin pie beverage that requires cinnamon schnapps, coffee liqueur and Irish cream.

She also suggested the "Turkey Trot," a drink that consists of 1 cup of bourbon, 2 cups of a lemon-lime soda and 2 cups of cranberry juice.

Day recommends that each television has some form of Turkey Day entertainment on the screen. Popular selections are the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and a line-up of sports programming, including three National Football League games.

If you really want to set the mood, Day suggests making a music mix that consists of songs with "thanks" as the theme. Examples include "Thank You Too" by My Morning Jacket, "Thank You Girl" by The Beatles and "I Wanna Thank You" by Darius Rucker.

Lighting is a key element to setting the appropriate ambiance for a large gathering. White wire Christmas lights come in sets of 10, 20, 35, 50, 70, 100 and 150 lights per strand, and they are available in a variety of colors.

Christmas is just around the corner, so there's no need to take down the white wire lights after Thanksgiving. Thus, you'll have more time to focus on other yuletide decorations.

Wellness Mats help you stay comfortable while crafting your squash concoctions

Thursday, October 28th, 2010

Wellness Mats help you stay comfortable while crafting your squash concoctionsAutumn is a time of year that is synonymous with squash, a popular vegetable around the holidays that offers chefs a myriad of serving options.

Tony Conte, the executive chef at a popular Washington, D.C., restaurant recently shared his best squash-cooking tips to CNN.com. He suggests adding some ground chili, which can bring out another layer of the gourd's natural flavor. Around 90 percent of Conte's squash dishes include some sort of chili.

Conte says that squash's sweet taste makes it an ideal addition to a dessert.

"The sweet applications of squash, namely butternut or acorn are limitless," he told the news provider. You can use the purée to fill ravioli, make a cheesecake, pie, or even ice cream."

Contee added that squash is a versatile vegetable, so chefs should consider experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes. Trying new things may keep an individual on his or her feet for a long period of time, which can cause joint pain and muscle discomfort.

WellnessMats are equipped with Advanced Polyurethane Technology that provides a durable and comfortable surface for standing. The mats, which come with a seven-year warranty, are flame resistant up to 400 degrees.

The anti-microbial design of these products is puncture and tear resistant. They lie flat to ensure no trip hazard in the kitchen.

Brown wire lights provide the appropriate amount of glow for trick-or-treaters

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

Brown-wire lights provide the appropriate amount of glow for trick-or-treatersThe trick-or-treaters are coming, the trick-or-treaters are coming!

It's not quite the same warning Paul Revere gave to his patriotic comrades during the onset of the Revolutionary War, but the basic sentiment is the same: Be prepared for a flood of visitors.

While most trick-or-treaters will not be at your residence for more than a handful of seconds, it is important to ensure that you're providing a safe, comfortable setting for candy-seeking children. Decorations in your yard shouldn't be to frightening because some toddlers might be knocking on your door.

Homeowners who are distributing treats on October 31 should make sure their walkways and door steps are clear of debris and other obstructive items that could be dangerous.

It's also important to have proper lighting around the entrance of your home. You'll want kids to see where they are walking, plus you'll want a good view of the creative costumes they'll be donning.

Brown wire lights are an ideal source for extra illumination. Whether you want to hang them on your porch, your outdoor railings or inside your home, these lights will provide the right amount of glow while not detracting from the holiday's gloomy theme.

Coco doormats keep floors clean, despite messy roommates

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

Coco doormats keep floors clean, despite messy roommatesA writer for the Daily Sundial, Aimee Lastrella, recently offered advice to individuals who deal with a messy roommate.

The author recommends that you sit down with your roommate and try to agree on a solution without becoming confrontational. Setting up a cleaning schedule may be a good idea because each roommate will know his or her specific duties each week. Whether it's taking out the trash or vacuuming the floor, those chores have a better chance of getting done if they are assigned.

She recommends setting up a cleaning fund jar and mandating that anyone who doesn't hold up their end of the bargain must contribute to the jar. Any money that is saved up in the jar could be used to purchase cleaning materials, such as paper towels, disinfectant and laundry detergent.

One way to reduce the amount of time typically devoted to cleaning the floor is to pick up a durable doormat. If you or your roommates live an active lifestyle, the amount of debris that can begrime your floor will add up quickly.

Natural coco doormats are tough and thick, and they are handcrafted with a rugged design that will match almost any room in your home. Some of the mats are reversible and equipped with fibers that can absorb water.

Miele cleaners are ‘paragons of beauty and style’

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

Miele cleaners are 'paragons of beauty and style'In a recent edition of The Globe and Mail, lifestyle columnist Deirdre Kelly wrote that vacuum cleaner brands such as Miele, "have elevated a rather unsexy household tool into paragons of beauty and style."

Miele Vacuum Cleaners offer cutting-edge designs in products such as the Neptune S4212 and Eclipse S4582. These sweepers look like the vacuum of the future because, well, they are built for the future. While traditional sweepers last up to five years, Miele vacuums last between 20 to 25 years.

Unlike some vacuums that disrupt the entire household with a noisy motor and suction device, Miele sweepers are so quiet that you can use them while family members are relaxing, without worrying that you'll disturb them

These cleaners are equipped with a hepa system that traps more dust than any other product on the market. Furthermore, the bags compress dirt, dust and debris so efficiently that users won't have to frequently replace the bags.

Miele also offers cleaning accessories such as a mini turbo brush, a flexible crevice tool, an extra-wide upholstery tool and AirClean bags.

Capture the charm and innocence of Christmas with Department 56 North Pole seriesThe Department 56 North Pole series offers collectibles that are perfect gifts for yuletide lovers of any age. Whether it's a young child who is counting down the days until Santa's arrival, or an adult who takes great pride in their home's Christmas decor, these charming pieces mat appease any individual looking to catch the holiday spirit.

The North Pole series is aimed at the dreamers who, when thinking of Christmas, concoct images of Santa Clause, elves and reindeer. The North Pole series may serve as a pleasant reminder of what Christmas is all about, drawing on the joy and innocence that many experienced during the winter season as children.

Some of the ceramic products included in the North Pole Series radiate with a blend of brights colors. The jigsaw puzzle workshop, the karaoke club and the rubber duck factory are miniature buildings that will add ambience to any corner of your home.

There's also plenty of humor in these pieces, including an elf figurine that is collecting coal for the naughty children of the world. The North Pole series shows that life as one of Santa's helpers extends to more than just toy-making. One available piece is a pizza-delivering elf making a sizable delivery, while the "lunch box cafe" hints that elves, just like the rest of us, like to kick-back and convene for a meal and a beverage after a long day's work.

Gel Pro Chef’s Mats keep you comfortable on a busy Turkey Day

Monday, October 25th, 2010

Gel Pro Chef's Mats keep you comfortable on a busy Turkey DayThanksgiving is just a few weeks away, which means that some homeowners are already making their arrangements for one of the biggest cooking days of the year.

Better Homes and Gardens has offered a list of tips to help holiday hosts adequately prepare for the big day. The publication recommends writing down your entire menu and organizing a cooking schedule based on your recipes. These guidelines will help make your day less hectic and keep you on task, even as guests begin to arrive or other unexpected distractions emerge.

The manner in which you cook your turkey can go a long way toward decreasing time and stress on Thanksgiving. If you have a considerable amount of side dishes you bake, the magazine suggests that you consider grilling your bird. Using a gas or propane grill for your turkey, you will free up some much-needed oven space.

The article recommends that you grill your bird indirectly with the heat source coming from each side of the turkey, as opposed to placing it directly above the flame.

Creating a delectable Thanksgiving spread may require significant amount of time on your feet. Gel Pro Chef's Mats can help a chef avoid the joint pain and muscle soreness that may result from a busy day in the kitchen.

These durable mats are available in six colors – coquina, khaki, hazelnut, chestnut, truffle and black – that are perfectly designed to fit most fall decorative schemes.

GutterBrush Guards send leaves to ground, out of gutters

Monday, October 25th, 2010

GutterBrush Guards send leaves to ground, out of guttersA recent report from NBC news affiliate KUSA states that a yard full of leaves can actually serve to protect your plants from the harsh winter weather.

While many homeowners rake and bag their leaves, the news source suggests allowing some leaves to settle on your landscape because they can enrich the soil and provide valuable nutrition to plants.

If your yard is heavily populated with trees and an overabundance of leaves fall to the ground, the writer recommends starting a compost pile. He does advise, however, that leaves should be removed from two locations: paved areas and roof gutters.

GutterBrush Gutter Guards provide a cost-efficient way to keep your gutters clear without much hassle. The guards, which are made of stiff polypropylene bristle, works by deflecting leaves and sending them to the ground. For debris that becomes caught in the bristles, natural elements such as wind, water and the sun will break them down and prevent your gutters from clogging.

Gutter Brush can be installed by simply sliding the pieces into a clean gutter. These products come with a 25-year guarantee.
