Once that special time of the year has gone by and all of your presents are unwrapped, there’s still a lot of work to be done, cleaning up after Christmas. One of the biggest hassles for most families after the holiday season is packing up their brown wire Christmas lights, and very few folks actually think of recycling Christmas lights. They get tangled and broken, scattered and used as jump ropes. A lot of the time, once you’ve finally finished packing your Christmas lights, they are no longer even suitable for use.
Do not throw out those strands of holiday goodness, though. There is so much they can still be used for. Before you start wrestling your Christmas lights away for the year, take a moment to think about some of these ideas for recycling Christmas lights:
Home decorating can be a great, fun way of recycling Christmas lights and putting those strands to good use. You can use the lights to line your hallway or closets, giving yourself some soft lights to keep your way lit on those late night trips to the fridge. Recycling Christmas lights can help to make your home safer, as well. Line your staircase or patio steps to help people avoid tripping.
Decorate your bookshelves or other home furniture, Christmas lights can help to highlight and draw attention to your favorite books, movies, awards or trophies. You can even string some lights up behind your television and make your viewing experience easier on your eyes.
If you have teenagers or young adults in your family, they will often find great, imaginative ways to use the Christmas lights in their bedrooms or dorms. That way, the lights are out of your hair, and you know where to find them for next year.

Digging through the loft, the basement or the shed, pulling out those seemingly endless boxes of Christmas decorations – along with a few dead insects and way too much dust – is a chore that makes Christmas seem like it’s never going to arrive. Everyone swears they’ll never put themselves through all that fuss again next year, but they always do.
However, brown wire Christmas lights are one small saving grace that can make life easier, especially when trying to decide how best to outshine the neighbors and present a truly dazzling light display that makes everyone coo with delight and come running to the door to ask how it was done.
The secret is the brown wire. For decorating trees and bushes, brown wire Christmas lights are ideal because the wire can be neatly hidden against trunks and branches and it blends perfectly into winter foliage. This might not seem like a big deal but it really makes the lights stand out even more as they seem to float effortlessly down from the sky in glorious perfection all over the canopy of that spindly old tree that has suddenly be transformed into a myriad of twinkling stars. In the darkness of a winter night, the lights then appear to be utterly unconnected to any earthly power source or form of cabling.
Brown wire Christmas lights are also brilliant for decorating outdoor buildings as the wire can be hidden discreetly around darkly painted doors and roof lines, and they fit snugly into winter wreaths as well as creep inconspicuously through vines.
The whole key though is in hiding the wires to make the lights seem that much more glorious and add that extra added Christmas magic. Brown wire Christmas lights are a bonus that just make it look so easy.

Creating the right ambiance in an outdoor living space can be tricky. It is sometimes difficult to get the correct amount of light, and difficult to place the light where it is needed. Many people are turning to strand lights, often seen at Christmastime, because they are low-light and are suitable for outdoors.
Christmas lights are usually sold with brown or white strands, so they will blend in with snow or greenery. However, green or white strands do not blend in with a deck or patio accessories very well. Brown wire lights are made to be used on a brown deck or with neutral patio furniture.
Brown wire lights can be wrapped around the wood on a deck and nearly blend in. At night, the brown strands will barely be visible, but the soft glow of the lights will provide light for guests to see. Brown wire lights can also be strung together to cover the entire deck. Now, there’s no need for many outlets to be able to light the entire patio or deck.
Brown wire lights can also be used to decorate grapevine wreaths. Even a wreath can be used light up a path at night so guests can see to walk around. Patio decorations can be wrapped with the wires, and the strands will blend in with decorations, so the lights not detract from the decor.
Using brown wire lights in outside decorating can help create the perfect ambiance. Now decorating is not limited to just around outlets, because light strands can be connected to each other to be strung around the entire patio or deck. Brown light strands can provide enough light for guests to see, but not so much they take away from the nighttime atmosphere.

People love holidays. We like to prepare special meals, dress up in appropriate garb, and we love to decorate. Of all the holidays we celebrate, Christmas is one of the most celebrated in terms of decorating. The most festive way we decorate is with exterior Christmas lights. Even items previously displayed by themselves now have lights on or within them.
Exterior Christmas lights have certainly come a long way since people first started utilizing Christmas lights. And the festive lights often remain outside for much longer than the Christmas season. Some homeowners keep their lights up and on all year-round. It’s not that rare to see exterior Christmas lights sparkling in the nighttime in a tree, even in the summer. Country homes in the American Northeast often display them at night
Traditionally, all exterior Christmas lights were large, very bright, they used more electricity and they could be dangerous. The wiring was liable to fray and start a fire. Eventually, manufacturers redesigned them to be smaller, less bright, easier to handle, less expensive and less likely to start a fire. Of course, the larger bulbs are still available but they are now safer and designed to use less electricity.
One of the more popular varieties of exterior Christmas lights is the ‘icicle’ style that hangs off the eaves. Originally, they were all white. Nowadays, however, they can be found in an array of gay festive colors. They add a charming glow to an accumulated snowfall. The colors reflect off the snow and add an element of charm and enchantment to a crisp winter’s eve.
For the true fan of Christmas and all its ‘trimmings’, Christmas isn’t really complete without exterior Christmas lights. True, the indoor Christmas tree will be festively lit and there will always be greenery, but Christmas lights decorating the exterior will always be a prominent feature. Like the original star over Bethlehem, outdoor lights are an important part of the mystique.

When you think of Christmas lights you might not think of brown wire Christmas lights but these lights are excellent options. Not only can you use brown wire Christmas lights during the holiday season but you can use them all year long to decorate with style.
Think about your deck outside or trees in the yard. These items do not have the typical green color that you find on Christmas lights so if you plan to decorate them you’ll want something that blends well. These brown wire Christmas lights not only match the color of outside items but they look excellent on a live tree that may not be quite as green as it was when you first brought it home. However, they look best when you use them for outside decorations because your guests will only see the brown wire Christmas lights instead of green wire that doesn’t match.
Brown wire Christmas lights aren’t just for the Christmas holidays. They are perfect for when you want to decorate for a party or get-together any time of the year. Picture a string of white lights around the deck to your pool or patio. They’ll be a perfect addition to your decorations and theme and best of all, they will always match the colors of your deck and trees. This is especially helpful in the daytime if you want to leave your lights up all year for a beautifully decorated yard. Why show off wiring when you can show off the sparkling lights instead?

New Year's Eve is approaching, which means it's time to say goodbye to another year and welcome the new one coming around the corner.
It's a time for celebration, to gather with friends and, for the incurably optimistic, perhaps a chance to find that special someone before midnight.
But a proper party to cast off 2010 has to be done up in style, and this means creating the right kind of atmosphere. One element that shouldn't be overlooked is incorporating brown wire light sets in your party decor.
The inexpensive lighting will create the perfect mood for whatever party you have planned. It works for quieter, more intimate gatherings where a couple bottles of wine are shared among friends, as well as a more raucous event that will have music blaring till 1 a.m.
In terms of placement, most people drape the lights over curtains or doorways, which allows the sets to light up an entire room. However, some people have also wrapped the lights around a particular piece of furniture or object in the house, giving the party a more contemporary look.

There are few things that put people in a holiday frame of mind like driving through a neighborhood full of beautifully illuminated homes.
For many, hours are spent concocting designs and meticulously hanging lights from trees, bushes, railings and roofs.
However, safety experts urge individuals taking part in this holiday tradition to keep safety in mind.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that hospital emergency rooms across the nation treat about 5,800 people a year for falls related to holiday decorating, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. About 43 percent of outdoor-decorating injuries involve falls from a ladder, while 13 percent are falls from roofs, the commission said.
Individuals who choose to decorate their homes with brown wire light sets should avoid carrying a heavy or large load while using a ladder to ensure safety.
Other ladder safety tips include having an assistant stand at the base to protect and stabilize it while you're working. Additionally, it's advised to face the ladder when ascending and descending and never reaching farther out than one foot on either side of the ladder, according to ProfessionalOrtho.com.
Brown wire light sets are ideal for decorating outdoors when trees have lost their leaves. They'll also look festive on brown decks or other brown or tan structures.
These lights are available in sets of 20, 50 and 100 lights per strand.

When people think of Christmas, they may think of glittering lights. However, brown and white wire light sets don’t need to be limited to just one holiday. This season, don’t hesitate to pick up sets of white and brown wire light sets to celebrate your special day and ring in the new year.
Lights and other decor can be used to recognize holidays ranging from Hanukkah to Kwanzaa. They come in a variety of lengths and are especially ideal for decorating porches. Choose brown or white wires based on your home’s coloring – brown wires will blend seamlessly on wooden porches, for example, while white wire is ideal for lighter porches and houses.
Before buying sets of brown and white wire lights, don’t forget to take measurements of the area you want to decorate.
Brown and white wire lights are the perfect way to get friends and family into the holiday spirit. However, safety should be a priority while decorating. Do not string lights through door ways and windows where people may trip. Always check the voltage on the packaging before plugging in your lights to avoid a short circuit.
Manufacturers make lights specifically for outdoor and indoor purposes. Decorating is a fun and exciting way to get into a festive mood. Outfit your home with glimmering brown and white wire light sets to celebrate a variety of holidays.

One of the perks of holiday decorating is creating a flashy display, whether it's out on the front lawn or around the windows. Brown and white wire lights can make for eye-catching decor, but to keep costs down this holiday season homeowners should keep a few things in mind.
Measuring windows or doorways before purchasing brown or white Christmas lights can save money. The cost of unnecessary lighting could put a dent in your holiday budget so make sure you take the time to whip out the measuring tape – it might be well worth it in the end.
Checking the voltage on brown and white Christmas lights while browsing is also essential. When used outdoors, high voltage lights may result in an outage. A short circuit could be a costly and annoying inconvenience, so check safety recommendations before stringing up your lights.
To cut back on costs for lighting this holiday season, consider putting your lights on a timer. The device can make sure the lights turn on at sunset and off before. A timer can save you time and make sure that your Christmas lights are a cheerful addition to your holiday decor, not another chore.

Parents who are searching for unique birthday celebration ideas for their kids may want to consider hosting a backwards party.
RealSimple.com suggests that you indicate the party's theme on the invitations, outlining some guidelines for guests. Some of the ideas offered by the website include wearing clothes backwards, hanging balloons upside down and draping banners from right to left.
Say "goodbye" when your guests arrive and "hello" as they leave. For fun activities, you may consider "pin the donkey on the tail" or a coloring station where kids draw outside the lines.
The premise can translate to your edible offerings as well. If the party takes place in the evening, serve breakfast. If you are preparing a full-course meal, serve dessert first. The website also says you can arrange the place setting underneath the table, moving the chairs aside so the kids can sit on the ground.
Considering your home will be arranged in an unorthodox fashion, you'll probably want everyone to notice the subtleties. Brown wire Christmas lights will provide the extra glow you might need to illuminate your backwards theme.
Available in sets of 20, 50 and 100 lights per strand, the brown wire allows you to hide the wire on almost any wood surface.
