Airfree Sterilizing Purifiers

Airfree purifierAirfree purifiers take a new approach in the battle against airborne germs. Instead of using ultraviolet light to kill the germs like other air purifiers do, these units use heat to do the job. The sterilizer is well insulated and doesn’t cause any appreciable increase in the room’s temperature, so it’s not considered a fire hazard and is quite safe to use.

The unit is small and dome-shaped with a vent in the top. Air is drawn in through the bottom and passes into an intake chamber. From there the air goes into the heating chamber, where its temperature is raised to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, which is hot enough to kill any kind of bacterium, virus or mold that’s likely to be there. From here the air passes into a cooling chamber, where it is lowered to a comfortable room temperature. The purified air is then blown out through the vent in the top of the dome.

Airfree purifiers are perfect for both the home and hospital environment. Given the alarming growth of harmful germs in the clinical setting in recent years, there is an obvious need for small, portable air purification units like this. Airfree sterilizers can be moved from place to place and provide quick air purification in problem spots, augmenting the building’s regular air system. In a home setting, just one sterilizer can make a big reduction in the number of airborne germs in an average-size room.

Airfree purifiers are a relatively new product, but they have a great track record so far. The Allergy Buyers’ Club picked Airfree sterilizers as the top air purifiers in the US in 2003 and the Airfree company boasts of abundant certification by the ISO, Underwriters’ Laboratories and the European Community.
