Cold, dry winter weather may wreak havoc on your skin, your sinuses and even your clothing, as embarrassing static cling can cause items to stick or ride up inappropriately.
Low humidity promotes static cling, so many experts suggest using a humidifier such as the Venta-Airwasher to add moisture to the air and cut down on clingy clothing.
The Venta-Airwasher utilizes cold evaporation, which is recognized as the best way to clean and humidify the air.
It does this by using water, not a filter pad, to humidify and purify at the same time. This process eliminates millions of airborne particles, leaving you with fresh, clean, humidified air.
According to Yahoo.com, adding a ball of aluminum foil to each load of laundry in the dryer can also help to keep static away.
The website also recommends avoiding over-drying clothing by taking items out when they're about 95 percent dry and finishing the process by using a drying rack.
Brabantia's Wallfix Wall Mounted Rotary Drying Rack attaches to a wall and folds for compact storage. It is large enough to dry a full washing machine load of laundry and is constructed of corrosion-resistant materials.
Other drying rack options include the Brabantia Bathroom Drying Rack, which is perfect for small to medium loads of laundry, and the Brabantia Door Drying Rack, which is ideal for small loads.

According to Forbes magazine, the price of heating a home in winter can vary wildly – but not because of temperature differences. For example, Buffalo and Boston have similar temperatures in the month of February with average lows of about 23 and 16 degrees, respectively. Yet a family in Buffalo can expect to pay over $300 less per month than their east coast counterparts.
The difference comes in the choice of heat. Only two percent of Buffalonians use more expensive oil to heat their homes, compared to 36 percent of Boston residents. To make matters worse, as of 2008 the price of heating oil had risen nearly 40 percent.
This leaves homeowners looking for thrifty ways to save money during the long winter months. This can be as simple as throwing on an extra layer of clothing to carefully insulating all of the windows with plastic sheet.
The Brabantia Drying Rack is another way homeowners can cut back on costs. Rather than footing the bill to run loads through the dryer, simply hang them up and allow them to try. This will allow families to reduce their energy costs over time.

Ice, snow and freezing temperatures have left many throughout the country looking to get away to warmer locales.
For some, an ideal wintertime vacation includes sun, sand and swimming. Whether you choose to escape to Mexico, Puerto Rico, Aruba or another tropical destination, odds are you'll be spending a lot of time in a bathing suit.
Experts say it's important to take extra care when washing swimsuits, as they can become damaged in a washing machine or clothes dryer.
According to Real Simple magazine, bathing suits should be rinsed after each use to extend their life.
In addition, these items should be hand-washed in a sink with cold water and a special lingerie or bathing suit detergent.
HowToCleanStuff.net says, "NEVER dry your bathing suit in a dryer as the heat and mechanics of the dryer will break down the elastic and other material on the bathing suit."
Bathing suits should be air-dried away from the sun by being placed on a flat surface or by using a drying rack, such as one of the many Brabantia drying racks available.
In addition to helping clothes last longer and avoid shrinkage, using a drying rack helps save energy and leaves laundry with a fresh scent that machine dryers can't compare with.
Brabantia drying racks are available in different sizes and styles for any of your laundry needs. They are built to last with corrosion-resistant materials and can be used indoors or outdoors.

A pair of classic black trousers is a must-have for any wardrobe as it can be dressed up or down and offers a lot of versatility.
While dark clothing looks great when it's new, these items can fade over time and look older than they actually are.
Housekeeping experts suggest washing dark-colored items together, turning them inside out and using cold water to cut down on fading.
"The colder the temperature, the better, since warm water tends to break down fibers and fade clothes faster," Steve Boorstein, author of The Clothing Doctor's 99 Secrets to Cleaning and Clothing Care, told Real Simple magazine.
As over-drying can also make colors fade, it may be best to let these items air dry by using a Brabantia drying rack.
Brabantia drying racks are available in different sizes for all types of laundry needs. The Wallfix Wall Mounted Rotary Drying Rack is ideal for large loads of laundry, the Bathroom Drying Rack is ideal for small to medium loads, and the Door Drying Rack is ideal for small loads.
In addition, these products are constructed of corrosion-resistant materials to help them last longer than other products.

While putting on a new shirt, dress or outfit can make you feel like a million bucks, experts say it's often a good idea to wash new clothing items before they make their debut.
According to TLC.com, it's important to wash textiles before wearing them to rinse out excess dye and to remove or diminish the chemical finishes that manufacturers put on clothes to make them look better.
Real Simple magazine writes that chemicals can irritate skin, while excess dyes can discolor skin or rub off onto upholstery or other fabrics.
In addition, dermatologist Dr. Carolyn Jacob tells the magazine that it's especially important, for health reasons, to wash items like lingerie and swimsuits before wearing them.
These items should be washed in very hot water and hung to dry using a product like a Brabantia drying rack.
Brabantia's Wallfix Wall Mounted Rotary Drying Rack is one option. This product attaches to a wall and folds for compact storage. In addition, it is large enough to dry a full washing machine load of laundry and is constructed of corrosion-resistant materials.
Other options include the Brabantia Bathroom Drying Rack, which is perfect for small to medium loads of laundry, and the Brabantia Door Drying Rack, which is ideal for small loads.

It's no wonder that some people are turning their backs on modern technologies and turning back to the good, old fashioned way of doing things.
Many feel overwhelmed by being "connected" and "plugged in" at all times. Instead, they yearn for a simpler time when homemaking was an art, and household chores like laundry and ironing were meticulously tended to on a weekly or daily basis.
While shutting down and giving up all modern conveniences is enticing to some, it's not realistic to many of us. Instead, doing some housework the old fashioned way may be the answer.
Instead of your mother or grandmother's clothesline, a modern drying rack that can be used either indoors or outdoors, such as the Brabantia Bathroom Drying Rack will help clothes and linens have that crisp, freshly-laundered feel.
When items have dried naturally, why not use an ironing board and cover that's more functional than one that's decades old? Brabantia ironing boards combine high-end style with top-end functionality. Their wide, European design allows users to efficiently press items without having to constantly rotate them.
Brabantia also offers a full line of ironing board covers that can be tailored to your personal ironing preferences. For instance, Brabantia's heat-reflecting cover is made of metallized cotton for faster, better ironing, while its regular cotton ironing board covers are ideal for normal ironing and steaming.

Laundry experts say that choosing to line-dry clothing over using a dryer has many benefits. In addition to saving energy costs, using a so-called "solar dryer" helps clothes last longer and smell fresher, as well as avoid shrinkage.
While many think that hanging laundry out to dry is not possible in the winter months, using an indoor drying rack can help.
Brabantia makes several different drying racks for indoor use.
The Brabantia Door Drying Rack is ideal for small loads of laundry. In addition to providing a space-efficient place to dry clothing items, it folds up for storage. It also has a durable and solid construction and comes with a 10-year guarantee.
The Brabantia Bathroom Drying Rack can be used on virtually any flat surface in the home. It can accommodate small to medium loads of laundry and folds compactly for easy storage. This product can be used indoors during the winter or outdoors during other seasons and features Brabantia's signature solid construction.
Those who are looking for a larger capacity drying rack may consider the Brabantia Wallfix Wall Mounted Rotary Drying Rack. This product attaches to a wall and folds for compact storage. In addition, it is large enough to dry a full washing machine load of laundry and is constructed of corrosion-resistant materials.

Laundry is a necessary chore. It's also a household job that can end up costing a lot of money.
Besides the mandatory washer and dryer appliances, individuals need to shell out money for detergents, water costs and the energy it takes to run the washer and dryer each time they do a load of laundry.
According to GoGreenInYourHome.com, the average family spends more than $150 every year on energy costs associated with drying their clothes. Those who use an electric dryer spend about 50 cents per load of laundry and those who use a gas-powered dryer spend about 45 cents per load.
But there is an easy way to keep these costs down and keep that money in your pocket instead. Opting to dry clothes using a clothesline or drying rack, such as one of the many Brabantia models available, can help.
For indoor use, Brabantia's Wallfix Wall Mounted Rotary Drying Rack is one option. This product attaches to a wall and folds for compact storage. In addition, it is large enough to dry a full washing machine load of laundry and is constructed of corrosion-resistant materials.
Other indoor options include the Brabantia Bathroom Drying Rack, which is perfect for small to medium loads of laundry, and the Brabantia Door Drying Rack, which is ideal for small loads.
In addition to saving money on energy costs, a Brabantia Drying Rack won't shrink clothes and leaves laundry with a fresh scent that machine dryers can't compare with.

Once purely for leisure wear, hip t-shirts have become wardrobe staples of the fashion-conscious. More and more people running out to trendy department stores or craft fairs to wearable t-shirts with the latest designs.
However, for the truly stylish, the way a shirt feels is just as important as the design or funny remark that's imprinted on the front. People who want to ensure that the store-bought soft feeling lasts for as long as possible should invest in a Brabantia drying rack to keep their favorite piece of clothing feeling like new.
While using a conventional dryer may be quicker, there is always the potential for a t-shirt to shrink or to eventually become ruined after multiple washes. However, a drying rack can solve that problem.
First, turn your t-shirt inside out in the wash. This ensures the color won't fade. After the initial wash, place the t-shirt neatly on the drying rack and allow it to air dry. After a day or so, the shirt will be dry and the feeling it had from day one should remain.

While the winter certainly means cooler temperatures across the country, some areas are anticipating a snowy season.
Accuweather.com's chief long-range meteorologist Joe Bastardi is predicting that the worst of winter's cold and snow will be from the Pacific Northwest into the northern Plains and western Great Lakes. That means colder and snowier winters for cities such as Portland and Seattle, as well as Fargo, Minneapolis and Green Bay.
Other cities predicted to receive above-normal winter snowfall include Chicago, Omaha, Detroit and Cleveland.
No matter where you live, odds are when the white stuff hits the ground your kids bundle up in their snow gear and head outside for hours of fun.
Sooner or later they'll need to take a break and will come back inside to warm up and rest but will no doubt be out again before too long.
A drying rack like Brabantia's Wallfix Wall Mounted Rotary Drying Rack is ideal to dry snow pants, jackets, socks, gloves, scarves and hats that get wet in the snow.
It features a solid construction made of corrosion-resistant materials and it has the capacity to dry a full washing machine load, yet it folds compactly.
Not only is this item large enough to accommodate these bulky items, having kids put their gear in one place each time they come in will make finding items easier!
