New president pegged to lead popular Big Green Egg brandAn accomplished business executive was named the new president of the Big Green Egg Company earlier this month. Ardy Arani has stepped into the position formerly held by founder Ed Fisher, who will assume the role of chairman.

Arani previously served as the managing director and chief executive officer of Championship Group, a marketing agency that has created campaigns for Fortune 500 clients. According to SportsBusiness.com, Arani served on the Atlanta Organizing Committee, the organization responsible for for the city's successful bid to host the 1996 Summer Olympics.

"As we head into our fourth decade of success, I realized it was necessary to begin planning for future needs and the growth of the company both domestically and internationally," Fisher said in a statement. "We are very excited about this next phase of our history, and welcome Ardy to the Big Green Egg team."
