Once you have the charcoal lit, you can turn the Looftlighter off and wait for the coals to get hot (approx. 20-30 min). If this is too long of a wait, continue to hold the Looflighter by the charcoal, but pull it back to approximately 4-8 inches from the newly started fire. Move the Looftlighter around the pile of charcoal until all the coals have turned gray. Now your ready to grill!
