August is the last full month of summer and many try to take advantage of the warm weather by eating their dinner in the backyard. If a home doesn’t have a porch, try setting up a picnic blanket and dining on the grass, instead.
Before commencing your at-home picnic, make sure that everything is carefully prepared. A picnic blanket and basket are essential but it’s also important to pick the right time of the evening to start the meal.
Eating al fresco at sunset is a lovely plan, but mosquitoes and other pests often come out when sun goes down. Be sure to invest in a bug repellent so that the family or other guests can enjoy the meal in peace.
Lighting can also be an issue at night, and no one likes to eat in the dark. One way to prepare for these meals, whether they are on the lawn or the porch, is to hang brown wire lights along gardens, shrubs and railings.
The soft twinkle from these wire sets will add a magical glow to the evening and the earth-colored wire will blend with leaves, soil and wooden railings.
